Service Animal Programs

Bridging the Gap for Veterans Foundation is excited to partner with other non-profit organizations who are helping veterans with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) solutions and training dogs to assist in healing. Our The Coffee Platoon® retail sales generates revenue to enable various service dog and K-9 vest programs around the nation to receive financial grants. We select service dog organizations each year to provide financial grants enabling the dog and veteran training costs to be fulfilled.  We partner with outstanding law enforcement organizations to support K-9 Vests purchases and help protect the law enforcement working dogs from harm.

Bridging the Gap was so excited to support www.Vetdogs.org with a $5500 donation in 2021 from the retail sales of our coffee products to help support the funding of service dogs for the military veteran community.  Their program is exceptional and provides dogs who are highly trained and supportive to a veteran challenged with Post Traumatic Stress.  Bridging the Gap is honored to be a partner with them and looking forward to more events to engage on.

The Monmouth County SPCA is proud to have recently partnered with Bridging the Gap for Veterans Inc. to support pet adoptions for our veterans. Bridging the Gap is a 501(c)3 organization led by veterans providing career transition coaching services, offering scholarships, and funding of service dog training programs. This new venture with our shelter will provide sponsored pet adoptions for veterans.

The Bridging the Gap Veteran Pet Adoption Program will fund 50% of the Adoption Fees for qualified and shelter-approved Military Veteran adopters at the Monmouth County SPCA.  We can think of no better way to thank our veterans than to provide them with the chance to experience never-ending love and loyalty from a shelter pet! By working together, Bridging The Gap looks forward to helping change the lives of both veterans and rescued animals!

Bridging The Gap would like to take a moment to acknowledge and recognize the amazing Military Veteran families who are adopting and rescuing animals from the Monmouth County SPCA.  We’re so pleased with the turnout of our first cat adoption, and we’re excited to continue matching loving families with their new best friends in 2022.
